Panasonic Th-37pe50 10 Out of 10 for Picture Quality

With Xmas heading towards us at an ever growing rate, now is the time of year that most of us review what state our own TV and DVD players are in so as not to miss out on all of the latest TV and Satellite movies. The following article is to help some of you who might be interested in buying a Panasonic TH-37PE50 make up your mind.

No longer an easy decision to make, buying your new TV is now a major financial investment. The idea of parting with what could be a couple of hundred notes does tend to concentrate the mind somewhat.

The way that technology changes so quickly nowadays you would be wise to consider carefully any investment and try and ensure that it remains compliant with all possible standards.

Digital television (DTT) is a telecommunication system for broadcasting and receiving moving pictures and sound by means of digital signals, in contrast to analogue signals used by analogue (traditional) TV. DTV uses digital modulation data, which is digitally compressed and requires decoding by a specially designed television set, or a standard receiver with a set-top box, or a PC fitted with a television card.

With this article the aim is to take a look at what is on offer with the latest generation of Flat Screen Televisions and in this case the Panasonic TH-37PE50.

The TH-37PE50 is a 37in Plasma TV and the prices for these would be in the region of 1250 pounds sterling or 2500 US dollars. The screen resolution is 852 X 480 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is no. The Panasonic has 3 (2 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the TH-37PE50 uses is HDMI and no connections are available. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the Panasonic is available from limited outlets only.

So given this information, what would be our view of the Panasonic TH-37PE50?

Well to start with our score for the picture quality is 10 out of 10, and for the sound quality we would rate it at 10 out of 10. Another useful aspect to review is the availability and number of relevant connections and our score here would be 8 out of 10. As far as overall features are concerned we would give it 10 out of 10 and for ease of use and overall value for money we would give it, 8 out of 10 and 8 out of 10 respectively.

Finally our overall opinion would be that this Plasma TV is almost perfect and has to definitely be on any shortlist for those not completely into HDTV but the only thing preventing us giving this almost a perfect rating is that it is not HD-ready.

With the wide range and variety of makes and models available for you to choose from it is unlikely that you will not find something to suite your taste or satisfy any budgetary constraints that you might have.

The important thing to remember here is that with regards to the Panasonic TH-37PE50, this is only our opinion and an independent view and does not imply an official endorsement of the Panasonic TH-37PE50 either way, good or bad.

With regards to the prices in this article we have tried in all cases to take an average across the industry from a number of well known web sites and so we ask you to bear this in mind and treat these prices as advisory only rather than absolutes.
